Delicious Detox Breakfast: Oat Porridge & Amaranth Porridge
Autumn is also known in the Ayurvedic tradition as the “time of transformation”: not only in nature, but also in our body and mind are now numerous changes. Due to the conversion of the metabolism to the cold season fall according to Ayurvedic knowledge especially many toxins. In autumn, we should therefore support the body’s detoxification with all its might. In this way we can greatly reduce the risk of fatigue, stress, hyperacidity, allergies or colds. In addition, we strengthen our immune system for the winter.
Our detox breakfast tip for you:
Amaranth Porridge Or Oat Porridge
Ingredients for a portion:
½ cup amaranth or oatmeal
1 cup of water
6 teaspoons coconut or almond milk
½ tsp cinnamon powder
½ solid ghee (or 1 tsp liquid ghee)
Agave or maple syrup (for the taste)
10 raisins (soak at will)
What else do you need:
– 1 medium saucepan
– 1 wooden spoon
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Put the amaranth or oatmeal in a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Then simmer until amaranth/oatmeal has reached the desired consistency.
Then reduce the heat and add coconut/almond milk.
Add cinnamon, ghee, raisins and sweetener.
Serve warm and enjoy☺
